Happy Birthday Tia!

Tirzah, our fun loving, thoughtful, and tender, yet determined little girl, celebrated her 4th birthday back in July. Out little girl who loves everything baby, her babies go everywhere with her, bedtime, eating, shopping, errands, outside play, walk, church, nap-time, etc. Sometimes its quite a burden to carry a baby carrier (with 3 babies in it), 3 diaper bags, a stroller and a lunch bag everywhere, but she is certainly learning a good bit about mothering. Her care is most contagious, even 2 year old Asher now takes a baby to bed with him at night...and everything Mommy does with him must be done to the baby too. So sweet.

She was thrilled with her baby carrier seat from Silas!

Her request was a purse cake.

Camping Along the River

Several weeks ago a group of young families headed to the Deleware River for some camping.
It was loads of fun as you will see in all these pictures. Anyone up to doing it again?

Here is the view right from our tent!

Getting ready to go fishing in the morning.

Fried eggs and toast for breakfast.

Our hiking trail finds...love Julia's face!

Break for lunch...look closely for Selah's millipede mustache.

Nature Study at Our Fingertips

What a delight to find this nest in one of our bushes this spring. It was right at eye level and along our walkway, so everyday we would take a look at these little birds and see the progress. We would lay in the grass and watch the mother/father bring worms to the babies. We watched as they grew and in a few short weeks these sweet little fledglings were off on there own.

Puddles...

One wet, rainy afternoon, when we all needed to get out of the house we headed to Weehawken for a change of scenery.  The rain let up for a little while just so the kids could enjoy the puddles and watch the ferry's park for the night.

The kids thought it would be fun to chase this goose, well let me just say, they won't do that again! Poor Asher who didn't understand quick enough what was going on almost had a chunk taken out of his leg!

The kids were completely soaked from chest down by the time they were done.
