Funny Side of Parenting

"Mommy, look at me! Look at me!" I turned around, and this is what I saw! So much for the sleeve in my brown shirt. I think maybe this will go nicely as a new head covering for church:o) What do you think?

It covers the hands too...keeps them from getting into too much trouble. Perfect.
Our happy little Asher...growing growing growing!
Someone thought this little boy needed some protection from his siblings...
And someone else thought he was a little lonely in his swing...not to mention the time I found her feeding him cheese stick and ham pieces in his swing, I think he was only 2 months old!!!

A Very Belated Birthday Post

Our precious little girl, Tirzah Adriana turned 2 on July 18! I know I have been quite remiss in posting this, but better late than never.

A new-old doll high chair from Grandma Debel, given before she past away.

Diligently feeding her baby oatmeal.

Curious George cupcakes found on Betty Crocker website

We love you Tia Bia! We thank God for your life and for giving you to us for a short time, to mold you and train you in the fear of His name. We pray you will grow to be a lovely and godly girl, giving glory to Him in all that you do!

Out for Ice Cream!

The joys of eating ice cream!!!

Farm Trip continued...

Aunt Hannah and Tia

Busy making macaroni and cheese.

Aunt Sarah and Tia

You've got to wear farm hats if your on the farm! I see my son looks a little like a monkey with those ears!

Uncle Jonathan, Aunt Sarah, Tia and Silas

Uncle Caleb and Silas

"Please put me in my bed, I'll end up with a kinked neck and a sore back!"

"What's your beef...stop looking at me like that...I'm no T-Bone!?"

Josiah was one excited boy getting to drive the skid steer, with Sarah's direction of course. She said he did a great job!

Out to chop corn early in the morning.

Asher enjoying some Daddy time.

Much to Uncle Seth's chagrin he needed to hold the baby for me for just a minute. He looks pretty happy, don't you think, spit up cloth and all-just like a pro!?

Tia's first piggy bank, hand crafted on a potter's wheel by a friend at the "market".

Fun with Grandpa!
We thought Asher needed some more hair...I'm not so sure he agreed though:o)

Open House for the Cheese Store!

We arrived just in time for the open house of the new cheese store. I still can't believe my family is actually making cheese and selling it! Times of changed! It was certainly a busy day. People started coming around lunch time and all throughout the day until after dark!

Beautiful new sign out front.

And here is the new cheese store, cabinets, trim and cheese room door all made by my amazing mother.

Sarah taking care of customer service.

For lunch and dinner that day we served hamburgers with a thick slice of cheddar cheese and all the fixings...thanks to Phil for his grilling expertise. We also had homemade vegetable macaroni and cheese and plain macaroni and cheese with recipe cards for the taking, made by Hannah. Nothing better to bring in more customers than free food!

As the customers were coming my Dad had started a batch of Gouda cheese so people could watch how the process was done. My Mom and sister are packaging cheese here.

Even the Amish neighbors came for a look.
We enjoyed eating the leftover cheese on top of homemade pizza.
